Earnest Goes To The Bench

According to Jon Gruden, Earnest Graham is probably done for the season.
“Earnest Graham’s ankle looks to be a serious injury and his status for the rest of the season is very much in question,” Gruden said.
Ok, so… hmm… we have Warrick Dunn who can get a lot of carries. That’s good. Then there’s Clifton Smith who is running at a clip of one fumble every 3.5 carries, two fullbacks who have combined for exactly one carry so far this season, and Cadillac Williams who hasn’t seen action since last September. Wheee!
This would all solve itself if someone, say a running backs coach or something, would instruct Smith on the proper way to hold a football without fumbling it. Ronnie Brown, Chris Johnson, Steve Slaton, DeAngelo Williams, Lendale White… they’ve all run the ball well over 100 times this season and haven’t yet fumbled. It’s fucking possible. Shit, hire Tiki Barber to come to Tampa for a day to show Smith whatever it was Tom Coughlin showed him that made him identify the handle on the ball. From 2000 – 2003, Barber fumbled 9,8,9, and 9 times. From 2004 – 2006, he fumbled 9 times combined. Again, it’s possible. Smith looks like he could have some talent. Let’s nip this shit in the bud now so they can use him and not subject Cadillac to a bunch of knee dives right away.

Hey, this just in. The Bucs got Michael Bennett back from San Diego. Real cheap too. Only cost a 7th round draft pick.
