Assaulted Cabbie Cuts Talib No Breaks

David Duggan, the cab driver that was allegedly punched by Aqib Talib the night training camp broke, refused to grant permission for Talib to enter a pretrial intervention program for first-time offenders that would have reduced his sentence should he be found guilty.
The pretrial program requires victims to agree to defendants being allowed in the system and Duggan has refused, saying that Talib didn’t even apologize to him.
“Why should I give him anything?” Duggan said, according to the report.
He shouldn’t. Not only would granting this allow Talib to get away with yet another anger-induced incident, it would likely reduce Duggan’s ability to seek compensation in the inevitable civil suit that will follow the criminal trial.
The charge is a misdemeanor and even if Talib is found guilty, he isn’t going to do any time for it, so it’s not like Talib is going to learn a lesson anyway. Duggan might as well just let the case proceed naturally and keep his options open. And maybe to pass the time before the trial continues, Duggan can amuse himself by watching Donald Driver lay Talib the fuck out over and over again.

Ya know, I’ve heard of throwing into double coverage, but I’ve never heard of anyone throwing into quadruple coverage. There were so many Bucs it looked like a secret service escort. Nice pass Rodgers!

That was some shot by Driver. Someone should tell Talib to keep his head on a swivel. I looked at the shot several times and I think it was a forearm to neck. I should say an aimed forearm to the neck, because you can see Driver lining it up. I don’t expect a fine or penalty. The commish may even send Driver a thank you.

Man, I saw Talib’s head come around right before Driver popped him. Hilarious. DIdn’t look that bad but what the fuck do I know?
