Your Favorite 53rd Man Returns

As soon as he gets a steady paycheck, he'll finish that sleeve on his left arm.
God love Matt McCoy. The Bucs just keep cutting him loose and then bringing him back like you did with your backup girlfriend in college. How jumpy do you think McCoy is at practice these days? He probably breaks out into a cold sweat whenever he smells Raheem Morris’s cologne.

Anyway, the Bucs brought McCoy back and promoted CB Derrick Roberson from the practice squad to fill the spots of Rod Wilson and the recently-IRed Will Allen. I’m assuming Roberson can play some safety because with Mike Mickens and Torrie Cox, the Bucs already had decent depth at corner.

Speaking of safeties, the team filled the practice squad hole with safety Emanuel Cook, who went undrafted out of South Carolina this year and spent time with the Jets. I remember Cook laying some guys out pretty good in college but getting burned on coverage. Here’s his highlight reel from 2008 if you care. But it’s the Gamecocks, so no one would blame you for clicking over to CNN or something instead.

This guy’s super hero power is that he can’t stay cut. Better play him to make sure he doesn’t have another super power.

Signing McCoy is probably like fucking that fat chick you were talking to earlier in the evening. YOU don’t want to, BUT..

@Scott Since there is no word on Arron Sears. What is the bucs course of action towards him? The season is half over at this point and not really looking to promising for the future either. I know we would retain his rights and some money invested.

They could try to reclaim a portion of his signing bonus. They’d probably succeed since he is in breach of contract.
