Bryant Expected Back

AAAHHHHH!!! A MOUSE!!!! I SCARED!!!
Steve Wyche is reporting that Antonio Bryant is expected to play against New Orleans this Sunday.

Tampa Bay wide receiver Antonio Bryant is expected to play Sunday against New Orleans, according to a league source. It will mark the first time Bryant will have seen action since rookie Josh Freeman took over as the starting quarterback.

I’m not sure why Wyche has to hide someone behind the “league source” wall. Bryant has been pretty much day-to-day for the last couple weeks and most everyone has been expecting him back at any time. Hell, the league source might as well be Bryant himself. He’s been hinting that he’s ready to go since last Thursday.

This is great news for Freeman if Bryant really can play. Bryant is the kind of receiver who will stretch out for a poorly thrown pass and try to make things easier on his quarterback, much like Kellen Winslow has been doing for him. The only drawback is that this will probably put Maurice Stovall back on the shelf despite him having a good game last week. Stovall deserves to be ahead of Michael Clayton on the depth chart, along with Sammie Stroughter. Probably some other guys, too. Alvin Harper, for example, should probably also be ahead of Clayton.

ACtually I got a call from a 813 area code, I think they want me to start ahead of Clayton this week.
