Bucs Want Wilkerson Back

According to Anwar Richardson, the Bucs are currently in talks with Jimmy Wilkerson‘s agent to hammer out an extension.

“They’ve made it clear that they’d like to have him back and Jimmy’s made it clear that he wants to be back and we’ve been working toward that a little bit,” said Harold C. Lewis, Wilkerson’s agent.
Wilkerson has been pretty consistent since he’s been in Tampa. He’s up to six sacks so far this season and the Bucs could do a lot worse than to bring him back. The real good news, though, is that the team is talking to agents and trying to re-sign guys. Maybe this will open the door for players like Antonio Bryant and Barrett Ruud to get deals done before they hit free agency (new CBA notwithstanding).

Oh man, thank god we ditched the old system. Did you see Ruud show up last game? Would have been a piss-poor shame to shove that guy out the door cause we screwed up the scheme we drafted him to thrive in.

Too funny! It was just a couple weeks ago people were saying none of our DL were good enough to make any other NFL team.
