So Much For Figurs

The Bucs released Yamon Figurs today, ending that theory about Figurs getting the punt and kick return duties. To take his place, the team re-signed Micheal Spurlock.
Spurlock, who played in four games this season for the San Francisco 49ers, played for Tampa Bay in 2007 and Arizona in 2006. Spurlock returned the first kickoff for a touchdown in Bucs history with his 90-yard return against Atlanta on December 16, 2007.
Spurlock also played for the Florida Tuskers (goooooo Tuskers!) this season, so he’s probably in decent shape. I seriously doubt Spurlock gets any love on offense, so he’ll be concentrating on returns. And now I have to concentrate on spelling his name right again. Seriously, who does that? There are established, correct ways to spell names. Spurlock’s dad has basically guaranteed that Micheal will have to fight every month for his Social Security check.
