Some Items That Don't Deserve Their Own Posts

Jerremy Stevens was listed as missing practice because of a "player decision". Actually, it was the Scottsdale City Court's decision. Stevens's DUI trial started yesterday, and it would have been just rude for him not to make an appearance. No word on if he drove himself to the courthouse or how smashed he was if he did.

In other jeremy news, Jeremy Bloom worked out for the Buccaneers earlier this week. In case you don't know, Bloom is a former Olympic skiier and University of Colorado wide receiver who was recently cut by the Eagles. He also takes pictures like this.

I guess this is why Outsports.com keeps sending me emails.

I went looking for a football photo of Bloom, but after seeing page after page of this kind of thing, I finally went blind. Apparently Bloom is also a male model for Homoerotic Jeans (that may not be the actual name) and a VJ for the MHD network. And he wants to be a kick returner. Most special teams players are fringe guys who wants to take every opportunity to make a play and show that they have what it takes to be a starter. Seriously, if you were a bubble linebacker and saw Bloom coming at you with the ball, would you have any moral dilemma whatsoever in just ripping his head off? Would you ever be able to play in any league again if you were out-juked by the skiing fashion model?

Looks like we need a cheerleader photo to cheer us up and get that rest stop taste out of our mouths. Here you go.

You know this is a setup, right?

This is Kayla Drawdy, the fish farmer and former Buccaneers cheerleader. That fish farmer part is true, too; her family owns and operates a fish farm. But she doesn't work for the Buccaneers this year because of a picture she took. Not the Playboy ones. This one.

Make-up is magic.

It seems that Kayla was charged with a DUI over .20, a first-degree misdemeanor, back in February. The best part is that in her arrest record, she lists her job as the president of "Bakes & Models Magazine", which doesn't seem to exist. I suppose it could be a typo that I could research, but I'd prefer to leave it like that. There's something so unwholesome and wonderful about combining Plant City models and baked goods.

UPDATE: This entry on Kayla has been updated here.

Haven't been by in a while... But, DAMN, Scott. With that Strahan pic and now Bloom, I was worried Bucstats changed into a gay porn site...

thanks for that. i appreciate the information on myself. that had nothing to do with me not cheering anymore...may all your mistakes be rubbed in your face as well
Blessings!
kayla

Kayla, if you'd like to send me an email to explain why you're not cheering, I'd be happy to publish it as well, along with my apologies if I truly offended you. You're a semi-public figure who got a DUI. You didn't expect to get poked fun at a little?

And please... my mistakes are rubbed in my face daily. Sometimes hourly.

it wasn't a dui. it is a reckless driving.
i would expect you to atleast get your facts right if you decided to put them up. and if you wanted to say that a person doesn't cheer for for being arrested then i suggest you do a little researech on that one because you are again mistaken. you weren't just poking fun , you were being hateful, that's all. and it did hurt my feelings. I busted my butt for 5 years on this squad and this is the one time i see something you wrote about me. People like you are why i don't cheer anymore.

Kayla brightened up many dire days at RJS as the Bucs snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

OK she dropped a clanger - not the first and she won't be the last.

Isn't is better to concentrate on the positive things in life rather than gloat at personal failure? - I'll bet there are a few others reading this who have a few skeletons in their past.

We all make mistakes

Sir,

I have a comment to make. I knew Kayla fairly well as I graduated 2 years after she did and was in the same class as her younger brother Dustin. I don't think it's really fair that you should twist situations around to benefit your journalism career. I am not a fan of DUI's by any means but to post a photo and the story (slightly embellished I'm sure) of a very well respected person and well respected family is not only rude but inconsiderate. I think you should spend more of your "valuable time" studying such things as the upcoming election and the future welfare of our country instead of trying to smear the good name of a good person that comes from a good family.
