His Name's Jon G. And He's About To Get Money

It's not "official official" yet, but it looks like Jon Gruden and Bruce Allen have each been signed to three-year extensions. Allen has been predicting that the Buccaneers were going to make some big free agent waves this season, and it was important to have a stable coaching staff if that was going to happen. It is kind of funny that they got renewed for the same period of time, further perpetuating the impression that they are somehow connected at the hip. Anyway, who wants to start the Steve Duemig suicide watch?

Hey, look at that. This is my one-thousandth entry. Thanks for choosing Bucstats.com where we stand by our motto: "50,000 monkeys with 50,000 typewriters can't be wrong!"

Pulling the chair out from under the coach is always a good gag.

Congrats on the 1000 entries. Keep them monkey's pumping.

On Gruden, as I've said before, I'm not a fan. But I don't see anyone else that I think would be better right now. That said though, I would like to see him get an offensive coordinator who has a better feel for the passing game. Or at least, spend the offseason stealing some stuff from the Patriots and the Colts.

Also, I just read that James Lofton got fired by Norv "Loser" Turner. We should hire him immediately to help train out wideouts!!!!!

There must be something more to the Lofton firing because Chris Chambers and Vincent Jackson looked great in the playoffs. Maybe he's an asshole or something? I don't know. But even if they wanted him, the Bucs have already re-signed Richard Mann this season.

congrats man. everyone loves a monkey.

I got kicked out of the petting zoo for that one time.

Wait, did I type that or just think it?

So what you're saying is that Curious George isn't that curious anymore?

Coaching can only go so far though, and it seemed at the end of the season we had a bunch of gimp WRs running around. (another reason we should have ran it alot more imho)

Congrats on 1000, now you are officially eligible for inclusion on Congress' Mitchell Steroid Probe. (could those typing fingers be hyped up on HGH?!?)
