Cheerleading Tryouts Continue

Time for your next cheerleader tryout update. This past weekend, the Bucs held the second round of their tryouts for the 2011 squad. The group included about 100 girls from the first round (including a few who got free passes during the training sessions and didn’t have to endure the cattle call of round one) along with veterans from 2010. The girls were sent a video of dance moves ahead of time to learn so they could just concentrate on getting the steps right and constantly smiling. The competition did not include any hair pulling, bouncing quarters off their abs or contests to see who could push their breasts closest together. I don’t know why the Bucs are even bothering to hold a competition if they’re not going to take it seriously.
But all of that is minor compared to the news that Britney Craine is coming back for a second stint. Whatever reason she had for not trying out last year is apparently no longer relevant (I’m assuming she didn’t try out and get rejected last year because, well, just look at her) and she still has a year of eligibility left, so here she is. I didn’t see if Lauren Spires made it to this round, but of course she did. Milly Figuereo was one of the returning vets and she was good enough to land in the SI swimsuit issue a couple years ago, so yeah, I’m pretty sure she’s still worthy. I don’t know why they don’t just send me photos and videos of these chicks and let me sort it all out for them. With the price of gas these days, it’s so damn wasteful to make hundreds of chicks drive all the way to One Buc to tryout. Plus, having all those chicks driving at once? They’re just looking for a 20 car pileup.
Here’s the video of the most recent round. The previous round is here. Finals are this weekend and I’ll post something as soon as the results are released. Well, maybe, like, five or ten minutes after. That should be more than enough time.
