Talib Trial Pushed Back Again

Aqib Trial 1

The only news going on right now is that Aqib Talib‘s trial has been pushed back a second time in a month, this time to June 25 and this time at Talib’s request even though last time it was pushed back, Talib’s attorney sounded annoyed and said he wanted to get on with the trial. This time he sounds different.

“These are false allegations against Aqib (Talib),” Perez told “We made the request to move the trial to make sure we would be able to do something.”

They’ve had almost a year. If I was Talib, I’d want to know what I was paying my attorney for doing over the last ten months if he needs three more months to “do something”. I’m no lawyer, but it seems like it should be pretty easy. Talib, a guy with a violent temper, pistol-whipped and shot at Shannon Billings, a sexual predator. Talib probably had every reason to do it because obviously Billings is a scumbag, but you just can’t go around shooting at people regardless of how shitty they are. Put them both in jail, in the same cell. Talib should have the whole matter worked out in an hour or two, then leave him in for a couple more weeks and give him a fine. There, I just saved the people of Texas a bunch of money in court costs. Use it to buy… I dunno, cowboy hats or electric chairs or whatever you guys are into these days.

MC is looking even better as our first round pick. That is fine with me.

“Only steers and queers come from Texas, Private Cowboy. And you don’t look much like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down.”

Btw, that clicky is outstanding!

Ok, so say the Browns take MC, and Trent Richardson is still on the board. Would the Jets, who want to run the ball and do not have an elite tailback, trade up to get Richardson? And, with the 18th pick, we select Janoris Jenknis.

That’s a nightmare scenario. Janoris Jenkins has the potential to be Aqib Talib, The Sequel.
