Filling Out The Roster

It's also a great gay porn name, but I didn't want to say that in the entry because I may run into this dude one day.
According to the Buccaneers Facebook page, there were two new Bucs on the field this morning: WR Landon Cox and CB Marquese Wheaton. Cox is a second-year player out of Northern Illinois who spent last season with the Bengals and Wheaton is an undrafted rookie out of Southern Miss (5-10, 180, 4.55 40). Landon Cox is also a great porn name for a chick.

Probably not much more than camp meat. I just have a hard time believing that Cox gives them a better chance to win than Dezmon Briscoe.

that certainly puzzles me . . briscoe had 7 or 9 touchdown catches last year . . so they waive him and turn around and pick up cox? . . just when i am feeling good about the bucs leadership, they go and pull something like this? . . any logical reasoning here?

Like the Price trade my guess is there is more to this than meets the eye. Maybe Briscoe was talking back and the new staff has zero tolerance? I also think that with Jackson, what value did Briscoe bring? They in essence fill the same role.

Briscoe was fairly productive last year but with Benn on the roster and Parker hopefully coming on he would have ideally been the fifth receiver. If he showed up out of shape or had a shaky attitude, it’s probably not worth the trouble.

Briscoe was probably going to be pretty far down the depth chart, and as a result, not going to see a lot of passes thrown his way. However, we did jump through some extra hoops to get him, and he was/is a talented receiver. I’m sure someone will pick him up soon. I just hope the other receivers can step up and be as productive.
